One guy in Chicago told me he worked in management for a taxi company, but drove for Uber with his brother-in-law (also a taxi employee) on the side. He said the exact same thing–the taxi company owners hate it, and the drivers are loving it. Many, many drivers are interested in starting their own business, and Uber is the perfect way to get started for them.
