This video rules on so many levels. Long before he was roasting chickens…
If they ever make a movie about my life, I have only two requests:
- Motörhead provides the soundtrack
- Lemmy plays the part of me.
You may want to wait until you get home to check this out (NSFW), but you should watch it just the same. You can get the idea and end the video early if you don’t want to hear bad language.
Since we are the proud owners of at least 6 different types of slings and carriers, and knowing that several dozen others are coveted by certain members of the household, I’m obligated to post this.
Thanks to @sugirly for showing me this.
I don’t think ol’ Lance Russel and Dave Brown really wanted to show this promo video of The New Generation. They seem to stumble around the subject for a while and don’t start the video until about 55 seconds in.
I think they were going more for Bo and Luke and ended up accomplishing Ace and Gary.
While I was enjoying perfect weather to play rugby–temp in the 60s, overcast skies, a light rain falling–and listening to people complain about playing in the cold, I was not taking part in what may have been the South’s greatest fireworks display this year, which was put on by my former club.
This was filmed from about 60-70 meters. To give you some perspective, the little ant-sized figure on the screen just under the play button is a person (allegedly)
I hear there is talk of actually scheduling this event on purpose in future years.
I posted my video of the STS 129 launch a couple of weeks ago. The SIL just posted a link to this footage on her FB page. It’s slightly more dramatic than my video. Then again, I didn’t have time to edit.

I’m thankful that wrestling interviews and promo videos have come so far since the 80s.
Well, clouds were low, so we couldn’t see every second, but it was nice weather to be out at the beach to watch the Atlantis launch for STS-129. And it was so windy that we never actually heard the launch. Here’s a better video from closer up of the July 4, 2006 launch.
Just wait for it…woo!
For your Fun Friday pleasure…
Thank God I’m a Country Boy…Yeah!!!
That’s the valuable time I won’t spend watching this show. I appreciate the fact that they made me not want to watch it in the first episode instead of doing something like Heroes did–making me invest two pretty good seasons of sitting slack jawed in front of television only to become unwatchable.
Yeah, I’m that guy who can stop reading a book 175 pages in.
Not even a glimpse of a lizard tongue! I did enjoy the sly references to the current political climate though. Let’s hope that changes some people’s minds about where we’re headed.
